Nick Warner: Announcement of an Activist Network Wiki

Hi everyone,

I'd like to introduce a project that myself and some associates from NY are working on.

We are developing an open-source, non-profit networking website for activist groups.

The web application will be similar to social networking sites (like craigslist,
friendster, myspace, facebook) but will focus solely on the networking of activists and activist groups. A major focus will be placed on being up-to-date (no wrong numbers), very secure (distributed server locations), and very user-friendly (simple as heck).

Being an open platform, anyone is welcome to contribute their ideas and, if possible, their skills. I would like to invite everyone to visit our wiki site to read more about the project.

If you are comfortable editing wiki pages, please feel free to add your ideas and suggestions to the pages. If this is your first exposure to the concept of a wiki, this is a great opportunity to learn what a great collaborative tool a wiki can be.

The more contributors to our project, the stronger it can become. We would love for new people to join our project.

For more information:
please visit the wiki site
or email us at : activistnetwork@gmail.com
