THE INSTITUTE FOR POLITICS & DEMOCRACY ON THE INTERNET
Put together by the Graduate School of Political Management at the George Washington University, the institute has 3 main goals:

1. The establishment of a research base for the study of online politics, especially with respect to American campaigns and elections.

2. The design, testing, refinement, and promotion of appropriate standards of practice for the conduct of online campaigning.

3. The creation and public promotion of an online public space where good campaign practices and democratic values may thrive.

WHAT IS MOST INTERESTING:
The site includes an archive of Bush & Kerry (both for and against) films and animations in three categories: created by individuals, created by the campaigns themselves, created by 527 and other political action groups.

There is some GREAT stuff. These films/animations are great studies of how the Internet is used to spread grass roots and organized political messages.
