MyTown columnist Sanity Claws produces another acerbic column, this time lambasting both Tom Ridge's color coded terrorist alerts and the Vatican's latest alert concerning the feminist threat to the traditional family.
Outside of these two rants, perhaps his greatest insight, though not fully formulated (perhaps in a later column?), is the implications of the Director of Homeland Security stating that he will be leaving his job after this year because the $175,000 a year he is making is inadequate (leaving him relatively poorer?) to fund his children's college education. Meanwhile the official designation for poverty in the U.S. is a family of four that makes under $18,979 (in my current state of residence, the per capita income is $18,093 and the median household income is $33,672)... nationwide the median family income is $41, 994 ... so what are we to think about our own economic situation, when Tom Ridge, Director of Homeland SECURITY, tells the nation he is making only a paltry $175,000 a year and that he needs a bigger paycheck in order to send his children to college?
