The Scratchies
Finally a series of Blog awards that just might make a little bit of sense. Vote for your favorites:
It looks as though what started as an attempt to break through a creeping writer's block has some appeal. I'm really surprised because it was nearly a throwaway. I've gotten two links and some friendly comments. I was very much "in character", like an actor, when I wrote it.
What the comments and links showed me is that there's no harm in grumpy criticism provided it's coupled with idiosyncratic, but workable, alternatives. None of the commentors disliked the overall concept.
