Students at Georgetown Protest U.S. Attorney General Gonzales Over NSA Wiretapping
I don't think that law students are rewarded very much for civil disobedience--it doesn't translate well on the resume?
I'm happy to see even a few... and like Meg, hope that more will follow suit.
While I've never been one to shy from storming the streets and making noise, I'm moved by the silent power of simply turning your back to power--the symbolism is powerful.
Yes- truly symbolic- of not wanting to hear the explanation of the other side. Courage is not turning your back to the views of others but in having the self control to listen and respond.

damn proud of those dozen students. why aren't the rest of the law students doing the same i want to know.
We all ought to look for opportunities to do this. The more it's done, the more noise the silent protest will generate.
Meg
Meg,
I'm intrigued by your self-description in the heading of your blog:
Celebrate Vida
Can you tell me more about the Life-Ethic-Christians?
