Local Lexington Restraunt/Pub Refuse Service to Man Dressed in a Skirt/Corset

(an eyewitness report)

Hi everyone. I'm not sure if any of you saw the attached article in today's newspaper, but Cheryl, Christopher and I planned to write everyone and urge them to stay away from Pazzos. We were there yesterday when the incident in the article happened, and it was the most blatant display of discrimination and bigotry I've ever witnessed. The guy mentioned in the article came on to the patio, sat quietly at a corner table and ordered a beer. Because he was dressed in a skirt and a corset, the owner not only told him to leave, but told him so in such a way that we were expecting him to swing at him (full of bravado - to the extent of puffing out his chest and waving some fingers in his face). Jeremy, the guy in the corset, tried to talk with him about the situation, but the owner just became more and more angry.

The worst of the situation for us was as Jeremy was leaving a group of young guys, with about four empty pitchers on their table, yelled all sorts of derogatory comments at him, most of which I won't repeat here but they included things such as "why don't you run into traffic and do the world a favor." This was apparently "appropriate" behavior to the owner of Pazzos.

In any event, read the article, and please let's all stay away from Pazzos. There are other places with decent pizza and a good beer list in town, right?
