"A schizophrenic out for a walk is a better model than a neurotic laying on the analyst's couch. A breath of fresh air, a relationship with the outside world." Gilles Deleuze and Felix Guattari, Anti-Oedipus (1972)

PostSecret
An online, confessional, anonymous postcard art site:
i had some of these up at the green room once upon a time too - i just love the concept. both intriguing and constructive, and of course creative, in it's inter-activity no?
Yes indeed, I also enjoy the notion of creating anonymously as part of a larger collective of statements ... kind of Internet version of Postcard Art (anonymouis creations randomly mailed to make an impact on a stranger) and nature designs (creating art out of natural materials in a wild space for a stranger to stumble upon and ponder the strange creatures who may have built it)
well when u put it like that, it all sounds very yummy too. exciting. the collection does speak doesn't it? like narrative of contemporary life... or western life, perhaps. glimpses into moments.. so many moments. each of them significant, as though they lasted a lifetime (or more)...
Absolutely, and they provoke this viewer/reader to reflect on aspects of his life/society/world... can't ask anymore of an art project? Of course for me potential meanings are just as important as aesthetic form... tasty indeed!
