"Bringing Eros Back: What Marcuse Means Today"

Wednesday (2/18) 5 pm

Center for Student Involvement, UK Student Center

(The Center for Student Involvement (CSI) is located on the first floor of the student center extension)

Dr. Arnold Farr is a newly hired professor in the UK Philosophy Department. He will be speaking on topics pertaining to his new book, Critical Theory and Democratic Vision: Herbert Marcuse and Recent Liberation Philosophies (Rowman and Littlefield, 2008). In 2005 in Philadelphia, Dr. Farr founded the International Marcuse Society; this year's conference of the Society will be held at York University in October.

*Light refreshments will be served.*

As always, all are welcome. Those interested in social theory and the Frankfurt School are especially encouraged to attend, along with all students and activists (both campus and community.)
