WEKU: Call for Essays for a special edition of "This I Believe" for Women's History month in March (3/10/09)

We're looking for women who want to share their personal philosophies (does not have to be religious philosophy) for this exciting new project that has never before been done at WEKU, EKU's public radio station.

This I Believe is a series from NPR featuring individuals' statements of personal belief. People from all walks of life are encouraged to share their personal convictions and beliefs, often with profound and powerful results.

WEKU will be presenting a special edition of This I Believe for Women's History month in March, featuring prominent national women leaders and your voice as well. We're encouraging all women to submit an essay based on their personal convictions and beliefs. Essays will be posted on our website and some will be selected to be read on the air. If your essay is selected, WEKU will contact you to schedule a recording session.

Deadline is March 10th, 2009.

The special will air on WEKU Friday Evening, March 27th at 6:00 EST.

Email your essay along with your name and phone number to nikole.robinson@eku.edu
