"The Ghosts of Rwanda" and "The Jesus Factor" are two of the most unforgettable programs I've ever seen on TV. I was talking about them for weeks later, ad nauseum. "The Ghosts of Rwanda" especially shook me, and led me to discover Samantha Powers. Thanks for posting this - Frontline deserves as much attention as it can get. It plays a role unprecedented on American television. One can't help but worry it's independence and uncompromising voice are threatened by the political machinations over at the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.

Weltatem,

A huge debt is owed to Bill Moyer's NOW and Frontline. They have provided me with knowledge about the world that is lacking from other TV resources (especially when the Internet wasn't an option) and generously have linked their documentaries and resources online so that we can share them with others.

I would be devastated to see PBS die the slow death that seems to be its fate, but we are learning of other methods to learn about the world.

Check out Democracy Now in my links if you have never visited that site (all of their material is available online and we are talking about fiercely independent materials). A good example is their Independent Media in a Time of War
