"My task which I am trying to achieve is, by the power of the written word, to make you hear, to make you feel--it is, above all, to make you see." -- Joseph Conrad (1897)

I'm confused
Can someone explain this to me?
"Despite having confessed to killing Ramsey, Karr was released after investigators found no evidence tying him to the case."
sure. He is a freaking WHACKO. They did a DNA test and it came back showing there was no chance of him havinf been the killer. When science says you are innocent, well, science is normally right.
That makes sense... I don't have TV hooked up so I rarely here about these things and that short article slipped by my filters and as I said I was a bit confused...
ok so you can help me with my confusion....Taken as a given that DNA testing is "GOOD" in that the scientific evidence is pertty much undisputable (unless you are O.J. /snark) why is scientific evidence of humans causing global warming and scientifc evidence that stem cell research has "positive" potential BAD???
just wondering why some science is considered good science, i.e. sound, provable and just but others that admittedly are just "theories", not yet FACT but that contain plent of positive data and potential is considered "bad" science. Look at global warming. The scientific data supports humans as the cause of this phenomena yet we have a "faith-based" government that denies this science. Same for Stem Cells in that the scientific data shows great potential for this line of study but again, we are held hostage by "faith-based" governmental crapola.
I guess this is more of an ideological issue... as in the framework which these people use to understand/shape their reality does not permit certain facts to exist (or appear to them)?
apparently also (i haven't read it for myself - i was just told) the admitted killer was facing some charges in a foreign country and when he confessed to the benet murder, he was extradited. apparently there was a lot of hullabaloo over the expense of it (flying first class), etc too. i see they have him child porn charges in CA, but not sure what happened with the foreign country thing.
