University of Kentucky Colloquium: Goya at the Equinox

You are invited to a colloquium "Goya at the Equinox," which will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, 20-21 September, in the President's Room of the Singletary Center. On Tuesday evening, the 20th, at 7:30, the internationally recognized Goya scholar, Jane Tomlinson, Director of Museums at the Univ. of Delaware, will give a keynote lecture titled "Transformations in Goya's Art." There will be a reception afterwards at the UK Art Museum, upper gallery, where Goya's set of engravings, Los Disparates, is now on exhibit until 24 December. On Wednesday the 21st, there will be a one-day conference on Goya and his prints, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The symposium participants include students who participated in Prof. Edward Stanton’s graduate seminar on Goya last semester, Prof. Stanton, and Prof. Eileen McKiernan Gonzalez of Berea College.
