"My task which I am trying to achieve is, by the power of the written word, to make you hear, to make you feel--it is, above all, to make you see." -- Joseph Conrad (1897)
I think i am actually turning my Reagan Democrat in-law uncle away from the republican party. Tho the facts about corporate welfare are "out there" it is amazing how many people still don't get it.What's pissing off my uncle in-law is all these repbulican solicitations for money.I told him it's one kind of genius to get people to vote for you then to kick them in the ass. It's another thing to ask for money and then kick them in the ass again.Well we can't *all* be kiss ups and kick downs like bolton, the recent judicial cum-loads and the people fronting them, but if we keep failing to vote with our heads we're only asking for another please.- mason
Yes, its amazing that the hardcore of republican support often comesfrom the downtrodden blue collar working class and rural farmlands... values (as soundbites) trumping economics (as in reality)?
Good luck on the Uncle-in-law!
Thanks Karlo... just spent some time at your site--good stuff!
